The *Parang La Trek* is a truly challenging one covering the high altitude Tarsar Pass connecting Spiti of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. Popular for its difficult topography, it takes one across the Parang La Pass (5,580m), snow clad with glacier, high mountains and fabulous Tso Moriri Lake. The actual route is quite challenging as it starts from Kaza and passes through the isolated villages, great plateaus and river crossings with hint of cultural AC itinerary. It is suggested that the Parang La Trek is best carried out between July and September, this trek is not easy and requires the participant to be very fit and well acclimatized; nevertheless, this is one of the most beautiful and least crowded Himalayan treks around.
